// This is a OOAK version of The Lake Top made with heirloom brown ixcaco cotton //
A breezy addition perfect for spring and summer wear, made with organically-grown heirloom brown ixcaco cotton for the warp. The weft is also made with hand-spun cotton, but naturally-dyed. Woven on a backstrap loom by our partner weavers at San Juan la Laguna, these Lake Tops are sure special!
Featuring hand-embroidery along the neckline with natural brown heirloom ixcaco cotton, also handspun. The weave is a crossed-over calado (see close-up image). Fringing in both front and back of the top.
Note that handspun cotton needs to be starched for weaving. This piece has already been washed, but it will continue to get softer with more washing.
Measurements:
Width: 22 inches
Length: 22 inches plus 2 inches of twisted fringes
Care: Wash by hand separately in cold water with gentle detergent. A little bit of running color is normal for the first couple of washes for naturally-dyed fibers. Lay flat or hang dry.
