Two panels with black base and supplementary weft brocade volcanos and star designs in cotton and cotton blend. A very elegant color combination!
As far as we know, the cortes from this town continue to be woven on a backstrap loom, and as such, the weight of this piece is heavier than other footloom-woven pieces.
This piece is still in its original "looped" form, as traditionally, the corte is a circular wrap skirt. Note that if the corte were to be cut open, it would double the length noted below.
