Cotzal Textile Cards (Trio)
$40.00
We developed this special product in collaboration with the weaves in San Juan Cotzal using naturally-dyed cotton yarns prepared by our partners at Lake Atitlán. Inspired by the beautiful traditional brocade motifs from the Ixil region where the weavers are from, we wanted to create a both tactile and visual vessel to transmit heartfelt words to our loved ones.
The paper used is a heavier-weight stock made of recycled paper, perfect for presenting the card on top of a surface at home or using it as a frame for display on a wall. The sides are hand-stitched with one of the brocade colors used on the card. We designed these pieces with longevity in mind, full of appreciation - and each textile can be removed through a slit after use. The beautiful handwoven textile can be used as decoration, a patch, part of a sewing project... the options are endless! We are proud to support the weaving in its post-card life.
Choose your naturally-dyed color preference in the drop-down menu. Each set contains 3 cards.
