This top is one of five that we asked our embroidery partners in Sumpango to embellish with flowers around the neckline and one on the back. The blouses were sewn by Juan Carlos, and he already had these in existence when COVID hit Guatemala. These tops were born out of our efforts to quickly provide projects for our artisan partners.
This piece features striking colorful corte arranged in vertical stripes with plenty of detailed ikat. These colors contrast nicely with the naturally-dyed red thread used for the flowers.
The sizing says Small, and it fits like Small/XS in US standards.
