This top is one of five that we asked our embroidery partners in Sumpango to embellish with flowers around the neckline and one on the back. The blouses were sewn by Juan Carlos, and he already had these in existence when COVID hit Guatemala. These tops were born out of our efforts to quickly provide projects for our artisan partners.
This one in particular shows a beautiful contrast between the dark blue corte with ikat in both warp and weft, and the naturally-dyed pink thread used for the flowers.
While the sizing says Large, it fits more like a Medium in US standards.
