Traditional cortes <cor-tays> (wrap skirts) with ikat designs are transformed into super cozy and light wraps. The entire outer edge of the textile is hand-embroidered by a group of women embroiderers, using naturally-dyed cotton thread from our partner cooperative of weavers at Lake Atitán. The gorgeous brick red hue is achieved with mahogany wood. We love linking the two groups of women together to make these gorgeous wraps. The fringes are put together carefully with macrame.

Currently available in slightly varying corte designs full of ikat in mostly indigo blue, with some colors.

Warm, Cozy, Light Scarf With Gorgeous Red Fringe

I purchased this warm, cozy, light scarf some time ago. I love all the products I have purchased from KaKaw Designs. I wanted something different that would add some color to my casual outfits at work. I couldn't resist when I saw this color scheme. The red fringe gives the scarf the right pop when I wear it with my shirts and denim pants. This scarf is made of quality fabric and I love the intricate fringe pattern. I have even taken it to Yoga class with me to wrap myself during the savasana ending pose, after the Yoga session. I love it!

A must have!

I bought my corte wrap last spring and it was my constant companion as summer arrived (it's nice to have a wrap for air-conditioning!) and now into fall as the days grow cooler. I take it with me literally everywhere and it still looks as fresh as the day I bought it. Kakaw Designs' attention to detail and quality are second to none. This wrap especially is a must have!!
