These emblematic Central American birds are individually hand-beaded in Santiago Atitlán, crafted with careful attention to capture their unique details as accurately as possible. After several design trials with our newest partner maker Débora, we’re thrilled to offer them just in time for the holiday season.

Each bird ornament features a spacious loop for easy hanging, making them perfect decorations not just for the holidays but year-round.

Birds featured (from left to right in the first image):

  • Resplendent quetzal
  • Garnet-throated hummingbird
  • Turquoise-browed motmot

All friends of the area that we love to spot. To see the tail of the feathered serpent in flight - well, there's nothing like it! But a close visit from a curious motmot during breakfast on the porch is also very exciting.

Beautiful memories!

These birds are so adorable! Colorful, sparkling reminders of our stay in Antigua Santiago Attilan and San Juan la Laguna. I like that the beaded hangers are longer than others the I saw in town and the colors are true to species for the hummingbird, quetzal and mot-mot.
