$40.00
Everything you need (except sharp scissors) to make your own Chajul-style pompoms at home! This bundle includes 6 naturally-dyed cotton skeins, each 1oz, as well as two sample pompoms made by our friend and master maker Chato.
Arrange the colors to your liking to make your own unique pompoms. You can make different sizes of poms, too - from small to large, it just depends on how much thread you use for each.
To learn from Chato, check our Experiences section for a live class via Zoom.
This style of pompoms is traditionally attached to the ends of hair ribbons in the highland town of Chajul in the Ixil region. They adorn the wearer beautifully. We invite you to create your own uses for these chunky and curious pompoms.
Please note that the naturally-dyed tones may vary a bit, but we will always group the colors into Warm and Cool colors.
