While the word "servilleta" literally translates as "napkin," the practical use for such a textile is more like a kitchen cloth. You may choose to use this newly-woven textile to wrap tortillas, as a kitchen towel, or perhaps as a colorful heartfelt accent at home.
The traditional jaspe (ikat) design says “hecho en Totonicapán” meaning “made in Totonicapán” which is a town famous for ikat. The ikat weft is cotton, and the other colors are in a cotton blend. Note that the fringing has been left loose.
This piece is new, it has not been used.
