This güipil-style cotton top is crafted from three panels handwoven on a traditional backstrap loom by our artisan partners in Cobán. The soft, open weave—known locally as calado—forms a delicate base that is adorned with floral embroidery full of intricate French knots along the neckline and sleeves.
Made for a relaxed, easy fit, this three-panel blouse pairs beautifully with jeans or skirts. Each of the handwoven panels features four clean selvage edges—a rare and technically demanding detail that strengthens the fabric and minimizes waste.
We estimate this piece aligns with a US size L, and can be styled loosely on sizes S–L.
