Table Runner 3
This brocade-filled table runner was handwoven on a backstrap loom by a cooperative of weavers in San Juan Cotzal, up in the Ixil region. Traditional figures have been carefully woven with colorful supplementary threads. The figures depicted include birds, corn, and geometric figures. The weaving is cleanly finished in the back, with no visible thread ends. A beautiful piece made with cotton base and synthetic blend supplementary weft threads.
The fringes are especially gorgeous with added tassels at the ends in bright pink. It is a joyful finish to a beautiful woven piece.
Width: 12 inches
Length: 53 inches plus 3 inches of macramé and tassel fringes
