Small Wool Rug: Stripes and Waves in Ochre
This small rug was handwoven on a footloom in Momostenango with natural local wool. The warp is cotton, the weft is hand-processed and hand-spun wool that has been dyed first in the same town to achieve these muted ochre tones. We especially love the subtle differences in color seen in the wool! The figures are woven-in with tapestry weave.
This size works great in small areas like in bathrooms, in front of doors, or wherever you'd like to add some warmth both aesthetically and physically for your feet.
We have two units of this small rug available from our friends in Momostenango.
