This small rug was handwoven on a footloom in Momostenango with natural local wool. The warp is cotton, the weft is hand-processed and hand-spun wool. The rug was made with the best white wool available, and has been dyed with local fresh basil at Lake Atitlán. We are big fans of this natural fiber and it has been wonderful to work on naturally-dyeing this protein fiber with our partner dyers.
We think this rug size works great in small areas like in bathrooms, in front of doors, or wherever you'd like to add some warmth both aesthetically and physically for your feet.
