Small group Tote Embroidery with Claribel / Friday February 25th, 10am-12noon Guatemala time (2022)
//This is an in-person outdoor embroidery class held at our studio garden in central Antigua. Spanish and English instruction are possible with Claribel and Mari. COVID safety protocols are observed and the exact address will be shared upon registering.//
Claribel is our friend from Sumpango, a town known for beautiful traditional neckline embroidery full of flowers. This 2-hour class includes all the materials to embroider your own bag and a PDF guide with instruction on each of the traditional stitches for neckline embroidery, as seen in the images.
The canvas tote made by Creamos is already stenciled by Claribel for easy embroidery, and it looks great with the naturally-dyed cotton threads that we like to use. You'll be able to choose your own color preferences.
The class will be held on Friday, February 25th, from 10am-12noon Guatemala time with Claribel as the teacher and Mari as the translator/facilitator.
