Collective Mujeres de Maíz from Santiago Atitlán has transformed a used traditional corte into a versatile cardigan-like jacket that is as comfortable to wear as it is beautiful. The loose fit makes this piece great for feeling cozy at home in the mornings as well as standing out with a gorgeous one of a kind in a crowd.
Textile used is a repurposed traditional medium light weight wrap skirt in deep navy with subtle, elegant ikat designs intersecting both warp and weft. What a perfect jacket as the weather shifts to autumn! The colors and patterns in this piece in this cardigan jacket form reminds us of Japanese vintage indigo haori jackets.
The jacket comes with a matching sash to accentuate waistline as desired. Machine-washable, please line dry.
