Sold Out $175.00
This is a beautiful traditional three-panel handwoven huipil from the rural town San Juan Cotzal. The cotton threads used make this piece cozy to wear.
What an exemplary show of brocade weaving full with the rich small designs -- absolutely stunning. Please note that this is a used traditional huipil (backstrap-woven blouse) being sold by the weaver herself, who is a member of the weaving cooperative from that town.
The neckline is delicately hand-embroidered with a wavy pattern for the opening, adding a classy touch full of flowers.
The neck opening is large enough for this piece to be worn. It also makes a beautiful decoration as is or opened on the sides so that it can be laid flat. Please do not cut this handwoven jewel as it is full of tradition and heritage.
