This top is one of five that we asked our embroidery partners in Sumpango to embellish with flowers around the neckline and one on the back. The blouses were sewn by Juan Carlos, and he already had these in existence when COVID hit Guatemala. These tops were born out of our efforts to quickly provide projects for our artisan partners.
This piece features a striking colorful corte with rich ikat in both warp and weft. The colors contrast nicely with the naturally-dyed maroon thread used for the flowers.
The sizing says Small, and it fits like Small/XS in US standards.
