Corte top 2
This top is one of five that we asked our embroidery partners in Sumpango to embellish with flowers around the neckline and one on the back. The blouses were sewn by Juan Carlos, and he already had these in existence when COVID hit Guatemala. These tops were born out of our efforts to quickly provide projects for our artisan partners.
This particular top features beautiful colors in the corte (traditional wrap skirt) base, full of ikat designs in both warp and weft. The indigo and turmeric-dyed cotton threads used for the hand-embroidery complement the hues nicely.
While the sizing says Large, it fits more like a Medium in US standards.
Width: 21 inches
Length: 25 inches
