Cloth Masks made by Juan Carlos - a bundle of 10
UPDATE May 28th: We've included an add-on option for polypropylene 80% filters with these masks, which now come with a slit for inserting filters. The filters are removable and washable. Filter use is optional, as the mask can continue to be worn without one as a two-layer cloth mask because the nose wire keeps the opening closed when worn.
Each bundle of 10 masks comes with 5 small masks and 5 large masks in colorful varieties.
We have had so many orders, Juan Carlos has hired two families to help sew masks in order to keep up with demand. Thank you for all your support!
Juan Carlos sews all our packaging bags. His stall at the artisan market has been closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, and he is currently making cloth masks from home.
The outside is made with repurposed corte textile, and the inner layer is a new light-weight cotton fabric, also in a variety of cheerful colors. They are sewn together by machine, and with elastic to go around your ears. They are machine-washable and thus reusable. We recommend washing them in a mesh bag and hanging to dry so that the nose wire does not get tangled during the washing and drying. If you do not have a mesh bag, we recommend washing by hand.
Please note that these are not medical-grade masks. However, recommendations all over seem to include cloth masks in public areas. These serve that purpose, and can also be worn over a different mask in order to protect the inner mask.
Each bundle contains 10 masks. Please note that we are featuring this item at-cost. DHL shipping takes 3-5 days to the US, and costs $15 for orders under $100, but is reduced to $5 for orders over $100.
Though we are taking precautions against COVID-19, we recommend washing the masks before use as we do not have sterile medical packaging available, and the inner lining fabric is new.
