Announcing: The Colors of Guatemala Trip Jan 2024

Center Piece 12

This is a beautiful one-panel textile handwoven on a backstrap loom by a cooperative of weavers at San Juan Cotzal. The finishing with the delicate fringes makes this piece great for decoration tables for dinner gatherings, or anywhere around the house that could use a colorful addition. Learn about the meaning behind these traditional brocade symbols in this blog post.

Made new, the sale of these pieces created by the cooperative benefit the group directly. Both the navy blue and the brocade figures are created with cotton thread. The addition of the colorful pompoms at the end adds a burst of joy.

Please note that the last stylized images are of the previous version without the tassels. We think they capture the size and use well.

We love pairing for table use with Large Coasters also made by the same talented weavers and featuring similar brocade figures.

Width:  14 Inches

Length:  22 Inches plus 3 inches of fringes and pompons on each side

Care: Wash by hand in cold water separately, and lay flat or hang dry.
