A stunning picbil-filled blouse made with two panels joined at the middle with hand-embroidery. The white threads interact beautifully and play with natural light in the best way. Picbil is a regional weave only found around Cobán, and only the most skilled backstrap weavers are able to perform the delicate weave. The use of two panels for this blouses makes for a slim fit. All four selvedges are clean, showing masterful weaving.
This type of huipil (traditional blouse) is regionally worn with gathered flowy corte (wrap skirt), and the combination is really beautiful. But feel free to combine with other kinds of skirts or jeans.
