A one of a kind beauty created by local collective Mujeres de Maíz from Santiago Atitlán using an intricate ikat-filled traditional corte (wrap skirt) as a base, and adding hand embroidery to the front neckline of the dress stitch by stitch. This town is known traditionally for the beautiful and laborious bird embroidery featured in women's huipiles (blouses) and men's pants.
Fits like US size S - M, with a loose fit. The corte used in this piece is cotton, and the embroidery thread used is a rayon blend. The piece comes with a matching sash to accentuate the waistline as desired (please note that the sash included is in matching colors, not the one the model is wearing).
Measurements:
Chest: 42 inches
Waist 48 inches
Hip 52 inches
Length: 38 inches
