Small Wool Rug: Stripes in Red and Grey

This small rug was handwoven on a footloom in Momostenango with natural local wool. The warp is cotton, the weft is hand-processed and hand-spun wool that has been dyed first in the same town to achieve this beautiful color to make the stripes design. We especially love the subtle differences in color seen in the wool!

This size works great in small areas like in bathrooms, in front of doors, or wherever you'd like to add some warmth both aesthetically and physically for your feet.

We are in love with this new small rug style handwoven especially for us using local wool for both warp and weft. The fibers have been felted together by washing at a local hot spring, and the result is a beautiful and sturdy rug.
