Backstrap weaving is an honored tradition in Guatemala, and the simple technology is found in many cultures around the world. The portable loom system makes it easy for beginners to get started at home.

This combo is great for beginners and makes an excellent gift, also. Choose from the available loom options below. If you have a color preference, please make a note at check-out and we will do our best to accommodate from our existing inventory. We will be in touch with you via email to sign you up for the beginner weaving class of your choice so you can learn directly from master weaver Doña Lidia.

Loom options are all naturally-dyed and prepared by our partner weavers at Lake Atitlán.
