//A new Artisan Direct listing from our partners from Mujeres de Maíz//
A one of a kind beauty created by local collective Mujeres de Maíz from Santiago Atitlán using a beautiful medium-weight traditional corte (wrap skirt) as a base. Note that some of the threads are shiny on the ikat lines, and hand embroidery has been added stitch by stitch. This town is known traditionally for the beautiful and laborious bird embroidery featured in women's huipiles (blouses) and men's pants.
Fits like US size S - M with adjustable shoulder straps. The corte used in this piece is all cotton, and the embroidery thread used is a glossy blend.
Measurements:
Chest: 35 inches
Waist: 40 inches
Hip: 53 inches
Length without the straps: 47 inches
Material: Cotton, Cotton blend
Care:
Handwash or machine wash in gentle cycle with gentle detergent and line-dry or lay flat to dry.
