Corte Throw / Tablecloth 1
This vintage heavy-weight traditional corte from Santiago Sacatepéquez with beautiful traditional randa embroidery has been hand-stitched all along the edges with pink naturally-dyed cotton thread to create a versatile piece. We think this makes a beautiful tablecloth, but would also make an excellent bedspread (would cover the feet of the bed), picnic blanket, throw, or home decor. Our embroidery partners at Sumpango took the corte and added the blanket stitches little by little.
The traditional used corte is all cotton and has faded elegantly. There was one hole to the textile due to use, and it has been mended carefully by hand using indigo cotton thread.
