Ceramic Bundle: 2 Tumblers + 2 Tea Towels
A bundle to add a little handmade beauty to your home, to appreciate slowly sipping your favorite tea, coffee, or .... even wine?
Two hand-painted stoneware Tumblers with designs inspired by indigo ikat + two hand-embroidered Tea Towels.
The Tumbler design came about when I, Mari, was studying in Europe and couldn't find large vessels for tea. I grew up drinking tea all day long in Japan, and while I've also come to love espressos (espressi?), I still needed my tea. We have partnered with a ceramic cooperative at Lake Atitlán to make these designs come true.
The Tea Towels are made with used corte leftovers from other production. They are hand-stitched by our artisan partners in Sumpango all along the edges with naturally-dyed cotton, and come with a loop for easy hanging in the kitchen. The colors will not run since the textiles are used, and the darker base make these practical for cleaning up without being afraid of staining the textile.
Add two hand-stitched sashiko-style coasters for an additional $5.
4 inches tall, 3.4 inches wide opening.
Liquid capacity 13 oz. Please expect some variation as each tumbler is hand-turned.
