Traditional cortes <cor-tays> (wrap skirts) with ikat designs are transformed into super cozy and light wraps. The entire outer edge of the textile is hand-embroidered by a group of women embroiderers, using naturally-dyed cotton thread from our partner cooperative of weavers at Lake Atitán. The gorgeous brick red hue is achieved with mahogany wood. We love linking the two groups of women together to make these gorgeous wraps. The fringes are put together carefully with macrame.
Currently available in slightly varying corte designs full of ikat in mostly indigo blue, with some colors.
