San Juan Cochineal Diamonds Tote

This two-toned cochineal textile in diamond shapes is very special to us, as both shades were achieved using local cochineal from San Juan la Laguna, Lake Atitlán. We are pleased to be able to support yet another local group, the small cochineal-growing project. The dyers have had to work on trial and error basis to experiment with color results, as it can depend so much on the cochineal themselves. We're so pleased with the results. This textile was woven on a backstrap loom.
